london calling

When I was in college, I was lucky enough to participate in the study abroad program during my sophomore year. London was my home for that fall semester.
Driving the kids to school today, for some reason I was brought back. I guess it was the weather this morning, the way the sky was overcast, the slight breeze, and the briefest sprinkle. I have London on the brain and would love to return. I would stay in Covent Garden and shop my little heart out.

The junior loft suite at the Covent Garden Hotel looks lovely, yes?

*Love* this fun leather satchel from Radley!

This big, fat silver and ruby bracelet from Kabiri is gorgeous.

This bright and happy a-line wool coat by Nicole Farhi would be perfect for the cool London weather.

How about this amazing high waisted wool skirt by Paul Smith?! Could you just die?

And don't even get me started on shoe shopping. Shoe love by Dune Shoes.

For a fantastic overview of all there is to do and see in Covent garden, go here.

Ahhhh.....high tea, double decker buses, British taxis, British accents, the bustling city in all it's glory, how I miss you.

  1. Now this is getting spooky, Anita.

I did the same thing freshman year at Cambridge.

If you tell me you were there in the winter/spring of 1988, I will plotz.

  3. I arrived in January of '88. We were two Yankee clippers passing in the night.

  4. Stop already! The coat, the boots, the sweet peep toe green flats, the shopping, the cozy hotel, oh and tea, yes I want tea and scones! I've never been and so want to go! Lovely post Anita.
