Long Weekend

I leave today for the long weekend.  My hockey player son will be playing in the President's Day Tournament.

Can you guess where we'll be?

I can honestly say that I've never been to PITTSBURGH!  I hope we can get out of the hockey rink for some museum-going and perhaps some window shopping.
Have a great weekend!

It's That Time of Year....

...when I feel like packing my bags and going to wherever this chic is:

Right!

Right then.
Today's post is in direct response to seeing this new British online magazine, combined with thoughts about the bloggers who are attending Blog Tour 2011 in LONDON!  (God, I love that city.  And chilly, rainy, autumn mornings bring me back to when I was there as a student -- Semester Abroad circa way-too-long-ago.)

Anyway, the lucky ones who will be attending (you know who you are) will no doubt have an amazing time!

All pictures are from said fantastic British online magazine:

A great read if you're a freak about England like I am.

A Blue Like No Other

Is it really, truly this beautiful? Do your eyes play tricks on you?  Does the camera embellish?  Or conversely, is it even more spectacular -- "the photos don't do it justice..."

These questions, I am sure, can only be answered by going to Morocco.  I hope that one day I can see for myself--  the range of colors, the hue, the intensity; walking in and out of the shadows; standing in the shade or sitting in the sun.

Slice of Old World Heaven

In another life, I think I was a princess of a small European country from the 17th century.  I get a profound sense of longing to be in surroundings such as this.

Maybe Pieter Porters was my brother in that life.
Pieter has created House of Porters....a guesthouse/selling house in Antwerp, Belgium.

The guesthouse encompasses three luxurious suites, named for the style therein: English, French and New York.

Fancy the items in your suite?  Any and all of it is for sale; hence the selling house.
Oh, Pieter, you have stolen this girl's heart.

I am drawn to the English Suite.  Which one would you book?!
