turning two!

Pillow Mint is TWO! I'm trying to gather my thoughts on what to say about this anniversary. In so many ways I feel like my business is such the toddler, such the little two year old. Just like a human toddler, Pillow Mint is not yet potty-trained, not able to fully express itself; toddling around in this world trying to make it's mark and make it's voice heard.

I've never been so stressed in my life (starting a new retail business in this economic climate is not for the faint-hearted)! But even with the anxiety, I have never been happier and more fulfilled. With lots of help from lots of people -- and an amazingly supportive husband -- I am living my dream.

I wasn't so young when I started this gig, but I was old enough to be sick and tired of *not* doing things in my life because I was afraid. I've heard that taking action despite being scared shitless is the definition of courage. If that is true, I am the most courageous woman I know. :)
