Wouldn't it be great to be friends with someone who collects like this? I can see it now; hubby and I show up for an afternoon espresso, they sit and talk, and I walk around gawking at all the gorgeousness.
Do you have a friend who lives in a veritable museum?!
His name is George Lois and he has one bad-ass apartment!!

Wow. Definitely no friends like this. I do have new clients, though, that have quite a few "important" pieces. It's a little daunting designing around them and trying to maintain a home that mixed, warm and approachable. (ie NOT a museum!)
ReplyDeletewhat a collection!

To answer your question of who he is, George Lois is one of the original "Mad Men" advertising executives that changes the industry in the 1960s. He's quite the brash but funny character that is featured in the documentary "Art and Copy".
ReplyDeleteHello Chris!! Thanks for the info - I'd love to see that documentary.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment!
Wowzers. That place is awesome! I love the art nouveau doors and lock and also that outlet art hung low. Brilliant!
