Boy, It's Humid And I'm Inching Away From Contemporary

The humidity is making me puffy and making my hair 3 times its normal size.

(My hair is big to begin with so this is crazy-town big.  If you have ANY recommendations on making big hair less big; pass them along.  But know that I've probably tried them already....)

Not me, but it could be!

Enough of my hair woes...let's look at pretty rooms. 

I think I'm moving toward a more rustic, linen-y, antique, woodsy, dark sensibility.  Maybe because it's fall, or maybe it's because I'm older(?), but these photos are speaking to me.

used  henna  on your hair?

If you have, you know of the hell I just subjected myself to.  If you haven't, well, you're lucky.  I can say with confidence that I will never do that again.  The good news is that it worked and I have nice, richly colored dark brown hair.  The bad news is that the smell is so horrible (even after rinsing and washing) that I am nauseous beyond belief.   

Time for a nap.

I FOUND IT!

Finally! I found a conditioner that works on my hair!! I've used it once(!) and my hair is manageable, smooth, and soft! Thank you, Pantene.

I've never had blonde hair; unless you count the natural highlights brought out by the sun when I was young.  And even then the color was always more golden than blonde.  

I'm thinking about going for it.  I have a fantastic hair dresser who works miracles with my "big" hair; but we've only ever gone darker when color is involved.

Am I too old to try this?  Madonna am I not.  

I currently have a shoulder length bob with bangs.  I am using these photos for potential inspiration.
